The University of Africa, Toru-Orua (UAT) was agog on Saturday, 21st August,
2021 as the University held its 4th Matriculation ceremony. A highlight of the
ceremony was the Oath taken by the matriculants, who were beautifully robed in
their academic gowns.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kingston Nyamapfene, in his address enjoined the
matriculants to adhere to their matriculation oath, strive for academic excellence
and open their minds to the broader process of LEARNING, not just studying. He
was proud to announce that, in the short history of the University, this cohort is
the largest number of students admitted through the Joint Admissions and
Matriculation Board (JAMB). He commended the staff of the University for their
efforts in marketing to achieve this feat.
Dignitaries at the event included, representatives of JAMB, Deans, Directors, other
members of Staff of the University as well as relatives of the matriculants.
The UAT Choir, the Cultural Troupe and the orchestra thrilled the crowd with their
sublime performances.
